Welcome to the 2024 Fifth Annual Green Mile, 5K and Kiddie Run sponsored by the SOUTHSIDE CHURCH OF GOD in ALMA GA. Proceeds from the race will benefit the church youth group, known as THE STANDARD.
All races will start and finish near Goldwasser Park in Alma GA. The 5K Male and Female overall winners will be awarded a $50 purse! This is a GLOW RUN and all those entered by midnight March 8, 2024, will receive GLOW GEAR!
T SHIRTS! The T shirt Cutoff Date is Midnight FEB 18, 2024. No Exceptions
Kiddie Run For children 10 and under, the Kiddie Run will start at 6:20 and will be a single loop around Goldwasser Park. The entry fee is only $15 at all times and all participants will receive a SHIRT, GLOW GEAR plus an award.
The Green Mile run will start at 7 pm and is open to all ages. The entry fee is $25 and includes a SHIRT if entered by midnight March 8, 2024. Runners will receive GLOW GEAR. The top three runners, MALE or FEMALE will receive an award. The Green Mile is chip timed.
The 5K is CHIP TIMED and will start at 7:30 pm. This race is open to all ages. The entry fee is $35 and includes GLOW GEAR and a shirt to those entered by midnight March 8, 2024. The shirt order goes in the next day so do not procrastinate and miss out.
5K Awards: Aside from the cash prizes, age group awards will be presented THREE DEEP to male and female runners in the follow age Groups 9 and under, 10 - 14, 15 - 19, 20 -29, 30 -39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59 and 60 and over.
The Challenge: Try running BOTH the Green Mile at 7pm AND the 5K at 7:30! You will have 15 to 20 minutes rest between races. The Challenge early entry fee is $40. You will use your 5K bib and be chip timed for the mile. After the race we will post combined times. No additional awards are available.
Packet pick up is RACE DAY ONLY starting at 5:30 pm. The Kiddie Run will start at 6:20 and Awards will be presented immediately after the Kiddie Run. The Green Mile will start at 7:00. The 5K will start at 7:30 pm sharp! Awards will be presented immediately after each race.
